AN-DEMO-2QR4780G12W 12V SMPS Demo Board with ICE2QR4780GThe CoolSET™-Q1 series (ICE2QRxx80Z) is the first generation ofquasi-resonant integarted power ICs. It is optimized for off-lineswitch mode power supply applications such as LCD monitor, DVDR/W, DVD Combo, Blue-ray DVD, set top box, etc. Operting theMOSFET switch in quasi-resonant mode, lower EMI, higherefficiency and lower voltage stress on secondary diodes areexpected for the SMPS. Based on the BiCMOS technology, theCoolSET™-Q1 series has a wide operation range (up to 25 V) of ICpower supply and lower power consumption. It also offers manyadvantages such as: a quasi-resonant operation till very low loadincreasing the average system efficiency compared to otherconventional solutions; the Active Burst Mode operation enablesultra-low power consumption at standby mode with small andcontrollable output voltage ripple.
